The Royal Academy of Arts commissioned e-2 to undertake a major consultancy with them in 2001, to result in a completely new website, concentrating on the RA’s rich historic and contemporary artistic life. The website was maintained by us until 2007.
Following discussion with all departments of the RA, we re-organised the site into five clear, visitor-friendly menu options. The design aesthetic was streamlined, contemporary and elegant, with a ‘hand-drawn’ navigational tool to highlight the artistic nature of the RA. We commissioned a series of photographs of the RA to sit alongside hundreds of images which reflected the RA’s wide ranging involvement in visual art - from Michelangelo to Gary Hume.
